The videos clips will not play . . .
Videos on uVu are embedded on the site in Quicktime format. A recent version of the Quicktime browser plug-in is required to view videos. Also, uVu is intended to be a broadband website. If you have a slow internet connection, it could just be that the video has not downloaded enough to play.

uVu recommends using either Internet Explorer version 6+ or Mozilla Firefox version 1.5+ web browsers for optimal playback.

The video clips keep stopping or take a long time to download . . .
The videos on uVu can be large in size. They will play as they download. Sometimes a user's Internet connection may not be able to handle the download of data or net congestion prevents the smooth download and play of a video. Simply pausing the video to allow enough of the video to buffer into your computer's temporary menu will allow for smoother playback.

Also, if you are browsing the Internet or downloading other materials from the web, then you may experience a slower download speed as your connection allocates speed to meet the other download demands.

uVu recommends using either Internet Explorer version 6+ or Mozilla Firefox version 1.5+ web browsers for optimal playback.

Uploading a video clip is taking a long time . . .
Upload and download speeds vary depending on the user. Typically, you will be able to download at a much faster rate from the Internet than you will be able to upload to the Internet. There is no formula to determine your download vs. upload ratio.

The file will upload, but the larger the file, the longer the upload.

uVu is not saving my login information . . .
uVu, like many sites, uses browser cookies in order to remember your login information. If you would like uVu to remember you each time you login, you will have to enable cookies in your web browser. Detailed instructions on enabling cookies can be found in your browser's help menu (usually located in the "About" section of the file menu).
